Common Pests

Some of the more common pests you may encounter with your Sir Walter lawn;

Army Worm

Most commonly found in the months of January through April, Army Worm can cause significant damage to your lawn. If you notice a lot of brown moths or wasps hovering over your lawn, you should investigate. If Army Worms are present the leaves of your lawn will look chewed up in patches, compared to the leaves in unaffected areas. If the worms are present in high numbers you will also see green worm pooh in the thatch of the lawn. Treat immediately with an insecticide suitable for Sir Walter buffalo.

Black Beetle

Black Beetle does not usually cause a problem in Perth lawns. One or two in your lawn is no cause for concern. However, if you start noticing a large number of beetles you should consider a Black Beetle treatment suitable for buffalo lawns.
